Chinese-Barbecued Pork Tenderloin

Yield: 4     (serving size: 3 oz.)

1 (1 lb.) pork tenderloin

2 tsp. brown sugar

1/2 tsp. five spice powder

1/4 tsp. salt

1/8 tsp. ground red pepper

cooking spray

1 tbsp. hoisin sauce

1 tbsp. orange juice

1/2 tsp. dark sesame oil

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Trim fat from pork. Combine sugar and next (3) ingredients. Rub pork with spice mixture. Place pork on boiler pan coated with cooking spray; insert meat thermometer into thickest potion of tenderloin. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
  3. Combine hoisin sauce, orange juice and oil in a small bowl; brush over tenderloin. Bake an additional 15 minutes or until thermometer registers 160 degrees (slightly pink).
