Honey Flax Granola

Yield: 18 servings

4 cups rolled oats

1 cup wheat germ

1/2 cup flax seed meal

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds

1/2 cup chopped pecans

1/2 cup sliced almonds

1 tsp. ground cinnamon

1 1/2 tsp. salt

1/3 cup canola oil

1/4 cup honey

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1/2 cup water

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Coat a large foil-lined baking sheet with cooking spray; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together oats, wheat germ, flax seed meal, brown sugar, sunflower seeds, pecans, almonds, cinnamon and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together oil, honey, vanilla and water. Pour wet ingredietns over dry and mix until evenly blended. Spread mixture evenly onto prepared baking sheet.
