Five-Spice Tilapia with Citrus Ponzu Sauce

Yield: 4     (serving size: 1 fillet + 1 tbsp. sauce)

2 tbsp. thinly sliced green onion

2 tbsp. orange juice

1 tbsp. lemon juice

1 tbsp. low-sodium soy sauce

2 tsp. rice wine vinegar

1 tsp. brown sugar

1/4 tsp. bottled ground fresh ginger

1/2 tsp. five-spice powder

1/4 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. ground red pepper

4 (6 oz.) tilapia fillets

2 tsp. olive oil

  1. Combine first (7) ingredients in a small bowl; set aside. Combine five-spice powder, salt and pepper. Sprinkle both sides of fish evenly with spice mixture.
  2. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add fish to pan; cook 2 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily when tested with fork or until desired degree of doneness. Remove from pan and serve with sauce.
